#NewDrivers

Classroom instruction is held in person over two Saturday mornings (4 hours each), and meets the Kansas state requirements. Led by experienced instructors, the sessions are interactive and engaging to keep the information, essential driving skills, and safety knowledge.

State Requirements

The state of Kansas requires new drivers to take a 14 hour drivers education course for teen drivers.

This includes:

These requirements also apply to individuals whose licenses have expired and need to be reinstated.

By taking our course, you may obtain a Learners Permit (if under 17), or a Kansas Drivers License from the Motor Vehicle Department.

Please note: The DMV does not usually require our students to take either the written or driving test. But they do reserve the right to random testing.

Each student, whether a new driver or just taking the Defensive Classroom, will be required to take & pass the written test with a score of 80% or better. The test questions will come from the class lecture and the Kansas Drivers Handbook.
